Designing a vintage-modern kitchen

When Vicki Simon first saw the tiny laminate-clad kitchen of her future home, it inspired grander visions. ore entrancing was a quartet of gorgeous Maya shrimp basking on a marvelous kimchi pancake in a puddle of kimchi butter. Not so the $60 lobster casserole: I confess I expected something dreamier than turned root vegetables to play with the deliciously sweet butter-poached lobster.
